Had a question for anyone that owns a court jester goby(Rainfords goby) or bi-color blenny. Do they do a good job eating hair algae? Which one is better at eating the algae if you’ve owned both? Thanks!

Ho avuto un ghiozzo di Rainford nella mia 40 e ha fatto un lavoro decente sulle alghe filamentose ma è più un setacciatore di sabbia che un mangiatore di alghe a tempo pieno. Il pesce pappagallo bicolore è decisamente più aggressivo nel brucare sulle rocce e sulle alghe, ma possono diventare un po' territoriali quindi la dimensione della vasca e la disposizione delle rocce contano. I’ve had a Rainford’s goby in my 40 and it did a decent job on hair algae but it’s more of a sand sifter than a full-time algae eater. The bicolor blenny is definitely more aggressive about grazing on rock and algae, but they can get a bit territorial so tank size and rock layout matter. For

Sembra che il bicolore potrebbe essere una buona scelta. Ho comprato un pesce pappagallo tagliaerba e non si è mai ripreso dallo stress. Sembrava stressato al negozio, ma pensavo di poterlo tirar fuori. Ma niente da fare, è morto il giorno 2 nella mia vasca. Stavo leggendo che i tagliaerba hanno una percentuale 50/50 di sopravvivenza dopo essere stati messi in nuovi sistemi. Non voglio più passare per questo. Mi è dispiaciuto per lui.
Sounds like the bicolor might be a good choice. I purchased a lawnmower blenny and he never recovered from the stress. He looked stressed in the store, but figured I could bring him out of it. But no luck, died on day 2 in my tank. I was reading that lawnmowers are 50/50 on survival after being placed in new systems. Just don’t want to go thru that again. I felt bad for him.

Se riuscite a prendere un pesce pappagallo pictus faranno un gran lavoro a meno dell'aggressione. Ne ho uno in ogni mia vasca e mangiano le alghe come pazzi considerando quanto sono piccoli
If you can get a pictus blenny they will do a great job minus the aggression. I have one in each of my tanks and they eat algae like crazy for how small they are

Thank you. I haven’t heard of that fish. I have lots of hair algae now that I’m plucking out everyone’s day. I need to decide on a fish before it gets too out of hand.

È un tizio che ha un bell'aspetto. Non è facile da trovare ma fanno un gran lavoro. Ha pulito la mia nano in 1-2 settimane
He’s a cool looking guy. Not easy to find but they do a great job. He cleaned up my nano in 1-2 weeks

Il bicolore ha fatto un ottimo lavoro a pulire tutte le rocce nella mia nano vasca. Purtroppo è impazzito e ha ucciso il mio pesce di fuoco viola poi ha preso la brooklynela e è morto (non ho idea di come si scriva)
Bicolor did a great job keeping all the rock clean in my nano tank. Unfortunately he went rogue and killed my purple firefish then got brooklynela and died ( no clue if that’s how you spell it)
