Sto per allestire 6 colture di copepodi e di artemia per tenerlo bello nutrito nel mio nano da 31 galloni. Nel frattempo, sta banchettando con i copepodi sulle mie rocce e anche con i cyclopods congelati della hikari. Incrociami le dita!
Getting ready to set up 6 pod and brine cultures to keep this little dude well fed in my 31 gallon nano. In the meantime, he’s feasting on the pods on my rock as well as hikari frozen cyclopods. Wish me luck!

Molto figo. Colture di copepodi e di brine shrimp? Io ho fatto un kit di brine con uova secche e è venuta ok, non il massimo però aha. Tu come stai creando le colture?

Farò delle colture in alcuni Tupperware con tubicini dell’aeratore (airline) presi da una pompa d’aria per l’aerazione. 5 colture saranno per i pod, mentre quelle saranno una brine hatchery con uova secche. Sono così paranoico che questo pesce si emaci... quindi farò tutto il possibile per evitarlo, anche se dovrò riportarlo al negozio di pesce se inizia a perdere un sacco di peso
I’m going to have some Tupperwares with airline tubes from an air pump for aeration. 5 cultures will be pods while they be will be a brine hatchery with dried eggs. I’m so paranoid about this fish getting emaciated so I’m going to do everything I can to prevent that, though I will have to bring him back to the fish store if he starts losing a bunch of weight

Bene. Mi piacerebbe vedere la configurazione delle colture quando è in funzione. Ho sentito che sono mangiatori difficili, quindi sembra che tu stia facendo tutto nel modo giusto. Io con un mandarino non ho esperienza.
Nice. I’d love to see the culture set up once you have it running. I’ve heard they are finicky eaters so it sounds like you are doing everything right. I don’t have any experience with a mandarin myself.

Le mie colture per i pod stanno andando male, non so perché. Non si riproducono affatto velocemente.
My cultures for my pods are struggling not sure why. They just aren’t reproducing fast at all.

Sopravvivono benissimo, solo che non si riproducono davvero. Uso una vasca da 5 galloni con un micro schiumatoio/spugna (sponge filter) che spara fuori qualche microbolla al secondo tramite un airline.
They survive fine just don’t reproduce really. I’m using a 5 gallon tank with a tiny sponge filter that puts a few tiny bubbles per second through an airline.

Hmm, l’unica cosa a cui posso pensare è che magari si restano impigliati nella spugna. Un airline dovrebbe bastare. Che pod stai coltivando e con cosa li nutri?
Hmm, only thing I could think of is that they may be getting caught in the sponge. An airline should be plenty. Which pods are you culturing and what are you feeding them?
