🚨 SMETTILA DI INSEGUIRE LUCI BRILLANTI NELLA TUA VASCA 🚨

Me lo chiedo da quando qualcuno ha detto così alla leggera, "Lo spettro non fa nulla, imposta la luce come vuoi." Tipo, qual è il problema della luce "full spectrum" allora?

Siamo onesti:

Se "più luminoso = meglio", perché i tuoi coralli sono ancora stressati e alla fine muoiono?

Alzare al massimo il canale bianco? ❌

Massimizzare i canali preferiti? ❌

I coralli in realtà vogliono:

1. Spettro blu reale per la fotosintesi

2. Spettro violetto per il colore e la fluorescenza

3. Spettro stabile per basso stress e alta crescita

Troppo UV/UVA = Stress nascosto, sbiancamento in pochi giorni, collasso in settimane

Alto rosso/verde = Alghe favorite

"Non hai bisogno della vasca più luminosa, hai bisogno di una vasca dove i tuoi coralli prosperano, non solo sopravvivono."

🚨 STOP CHASING BRIGHT LIGHTS ON YOUR TANK 🚨

It has been on my mind since someone said nonchalantly, "The spectrum does nothing, sets the light as you want." Like, what's the deal with the "full spectrum" light then?

Let's be honest:

If "brighter = better", then why are your corals still stressed and eventually dying?

Cranking up white channel? ❌

Maxing out favorite channels? ❌

Corals actually want:

1. Royal Blue spectrum for photosynthesis

2. Violet spectrum for color and fluorescence

3. Stable spectrum for low stress and high growth

Too much UV/UVA = Hidden stress, bleach in days, bailout in weeks

High Red/Green = Algae favorite

Sono un nuovo reefer e ho dovuto imparare col metodo della fetta di salame. Tutto quello che guardi su YouTube ripete stabilità, ho anche un mentor di reef e mi ripeteva sempre di smettere di cambiare le luci. Non ho ascoltato finché non ho ucciso alcuni dei miei pezzi preferiti.

I’m a new reefer and I had to learn the hard way. Everything you watch on YouTube repeats stability, I even have a reef mentor and he kept telling me to stop messing with the lights. I wouldn’t listen until I killed some of my favorite pieces.

Ho fatto lo stesso con il posizionamento della wavemaker. Due colonie di torch sono morte per mia negligenza 🥲 Ma mi sono assicurato di non fare gli stessi errori in futuro. La stabilità è la chiave 🔑

I did the same on the wavemaker positioning too. Poor 2 colonies of torch died from my carelessness 🥲 But I made sure not to do the same mistakes onwards. Stability is the key 🔑

Avrei dovuto realizzarlo prima, avevo una colonia Pandora zoa da 40 teste, ho cambiato la mia luce e l'ho messa a tutta potenza, le zoa si sono completamente distrutte, peccato, erano molto carine

Should have realised this earlier, had a 40 head Pandora zoa colony, I changed my light and had it on full blast, zoas completely nuked themselves, shame, they were very nice

SE, e sottolineo il SE, e solo SE hai bisogno di aumentare l'intensità della tua illuminazione, fallo in piccoli incrementi (5-10%) per molte settimane. Scoprire dove i tuoi coralli sono felici, poi mantenere la vasca stabile è la chiave.

IF, and that’s a mighty big little word, and only IF you need to increase your lighting intensity, do it in small (5-10%) increments over many weeks. Finding out where your corals are happy, then keeping your tank stable is the key.

Adoro come questi softies brillano con quella illuminazione blu reale e violetto! Mostra davvero come lo spettro killer fa la differenza senza bombardare i coralli con troppa luce bianca.

Love how those softies are glowing with that royal blue and violet lighting! It really shows that killer spectrum makes all the difference without blasting corals with too much white light.
