Sento di non fare niente di giusto in nessuna delle mie vasche. È perché le vasche hanno solo 4 mesi?
I feel like I am doing nothing right in any of my tanks. Is it because the tanks are only 4 months old?

Il mio primo anno di reefing è stato abbastanza tosto. Poi ho iniziato a dosare automaticamente All-For-Reef e ho smesso di fare così tanti cambiamenti alla mia vasca e le acropore hanno iniziato a crescere. Lo dicono tutti, ma la stabilità è davvero la cosa #1
My first year of reefing was pretty rough. I then started auto dosing All-For-Reef and stopped making so many tweaks to my tank and corals started growing. Everyone says it but stability really is the #1 thing

Ho sentito un sacco di cose negative sul dosare nel primo anno, non so se sia vero o no. Che dosatore usi?
I heard a lot of bad things about dosing in the first year didn’t know if that is true or not. What doser do you use

Sono come te. Tutti continuano a dirmi che è troppo presto per fare l’autodosaggio. Però sto capendo il consumo giornaliero delle mie vasche.
I'm like you. Everyone keeps wanting to tell me it's too soon to auto dose. But I'm figuring out my tanks daily consumption now.

Sto monitorando ogni giorno dkh, calcio, magnesio, nitrati e fosforo. Cerco di identificare trend e pattern così da riuscire a stabilire una quantità di dosaggio giornaliero.
I'm tracking my dkh, calcium, magnesium, nitrates, and phosphorus daily. Trying to identify trends and patterns so that I can determine a daily dosage amount.

Sono più o meno sulla stessa timeline della mia vasca pico. Ho entrato nella fase “brutta” questa settimana. So che dall’altra parte sarà meglio, ma uff.
I'm on about the same time line with my pico. Entered the ugly phase this week. I know it will be better on the other side, but ooph.

La mia vasca ha 16 anni e sto ancora capendo un sacco di cose, quindi non stressarti troppo: chiunque di noi ci è passato a un certo punto leggendo in generale e comunque non ci sono due vasche uguali. In bocca al lupo

Non potevo dirlo meglio: ogni setup va in direzioni folli e devi solo lasciargli trovare la sua danza, poi aiutalo a tenerla. Non riesco a immaginare di essere nuovo al reefkeeping adesso. La quantità di info è fantastica, ma anche tantissima da setacciare. Il miglior consiglio che potrei dare a un nuovo reefer è trovare qualcuno che ha una o più vasche che ami. Impara i loro metodi. Non ascoltare gli altri. Meno è sempre meglio e quando le cose sembrano fuori controllo è tempo di fare un passo indietro e far respirare la vasca.
Couldn’t have said it better every set up swings in wild directions and you just have to let it find its dance then help it keep it. I couldn’t imagine being new to reef keeping now a days. The amount of info is awesome but also a ton to sift thru. Best advice I could ever tell a new reefer is find someone who has a tank or tanks you love. Learn their ways and methods. Listen to no one else. Less is always more and when things feel out of control it’s time to step back and let the tank breathe.
La mia vasca è pronta da quasi un anno. L’ho iniziata a “popolarla” un mese fa. 60g breeder, 7 pesci piccoli, 2 ricci cuscino, una stella sand sifting, un po’ di lumachine, talee di coralli molli, una lumaca sea slug tipo lettuce e un’unica anemone rainbow bubble tip. Sembrano tutti sani e felici. Un mio amico che dice di sapere tutto sulle vasche di acqua salata mi ha detto che tutto quello che c’è nella mia vasca andrà a morire. Il mio consiglio è: fate ricerca, fate i test e prendete i consigli degli altri con un pizzico di sale. Le opinioni sono come gli A, tutti ne hanno una, non significa che siano giuste o sbagliate. È la tua vasca, fai come vuoi tu.
My tank has been set up for almost a year. I just started sticking it a month ago. 60g breeder, 7 small fish, 2 pincushion urchins, one sand sifting starfish, some snails, soft coral frags, a lettuce sea slug, and one rainbow bubble tip anemone. All seem healthy and happy. A friend of mine who says he knows all about saltwater tanks, told me everything in my tank is going to die. My advice is do your research, do your testing, and take other people’s advice with a grain of salt. Opinions are like A holes, everybody has one, doesn’t mean they are right or wrong. It’s your tank, you do you.
