and it brought some velvet to my tank it’s my first time posting but what do you guys think of the treatment I’m using please give suggestions 😬😄

Habe gerade Samtkrankheit in meinem Becken gehabt und musste alle Fische in QT bringen, die noch am Leben waren … die Behandlung, die mir empfohlen wurde, ist Kupfer, aber dosiere es nicht im Display-Becken. Behalte nur Korallen und Wirbellose und warte 6-8 Wochen, bevor du die Fische zurück gibst. Dosiere das QT-Becken für den gleichen Zeitraum, sonst bringst du es wieder ins Display-Becken. Samtkrankheit lebt nur, wenn es Fische gibt.
Just got velvet in my tank and I had to QT all the fish that were still alive…the treatment I got recommended is copper but don’t dose it in the main display. Keep corals and inverts only and wait 6-8 weeks to add the fish back. Dose the QT tank for the same period otherwise you’ll bring it back to the main display. Velvet only live if there’s fish.

Oh je, ich hoffe, es geht deinen Fischen jetzt besser. Ich habe sie alle in der QT außer einem Wächter-Grundel, den ich Schwierigkeiten habe zu fangen 🥲aber ich denke, ich werde eine Kupferbehandlung bestellen und das Beste hoffen. Danke
Oh no hope your fish are doing ok now. I have all of them in the qt except a watchman goby that I’ve had trouble catching 🥲but I think I’m going to order a copper treatment and hope for the best. Thank you

Ich glaube nicht, dass Herbtana eine wirksame Heilung ist. Ich denke, es unterdrückt nur die Parasiten, also müsstest du es in deinem Display-Becken solange verwenden, wie du Fische hast, sonst könnten die Parasiten zurückkommen, wenn du aufhörst. Mir gefällt auch nicht, dass es eine proprietäre Formulierung ist, also wissen wir nicht, was darin enthalten ist. Ich würde empfehlen, mit Kupfer statt Herbtana zu behandeln.
I don't think herbtana is an effective cure. I believe it just suppresses the parasites so you'd have to continue using it in your display tank as long as you have fish, or the parasites could return once you stop. I also don't like that it's a proprietary formulation so we don't know what it contains. I'd recommend treating with copper rather than Herbtana.

Das bin ich mir nicht sicher. Ich würde nicht empfehlen, die Medikamente zu mischen. Frag im Forum nach, das ich erwähnt habe. Die sind sehr sachkundig.
