It is just very weak and does not have many spectrums. And it is not also app controlled.

If you want confidence that your gonna grow corals without issue I'd raise your budget alittle. Not to say you can't grow corals for a while under a cheaper light but the ones that can keep up and not starve corals long term are abit more Even if you go upwards about 50 to 80 and look at 150 to 200 dollar lights youll find much better options. What size tank do you plan on having??

It’s a 40 breeder and I have two of them on it cause I saw someone els on YouTube with them on his 40 breeder and he was growing sps and lps with them

You will likely be able to grow some of the easier sps and some lPS don't expect crazy torches or Acros or anything but you can make a softy or LPS reef alright with a couple

I had this light and I hated it. I didn’t find it user friendly at all. Every time the power went out the built in timer would reset so to get your schedule back on track you had to unplug and replug at your desired start time which is not ideal for someone who works odd shifts. The sunup and sundown transitions were not gradual it would happen in 3 stages of brightness so no ramping. Trust me, buy once cry once on lighting. I honestly wish I hadn’t of bought this light. Nothing but trouble for me. I just upgraded to an AI prime and I love how easy the app is to use!

My opinion you could have done the Nicrew Gen 1 and it would have worked good for what you are looking to do or even if you had a few bucks more you could have went with a SmatFarm which is good I’m running one on a 13.5 Evo and I’m keeping Torches ,Zoas, even 3 Gonis some blastos .

I do it is a great backup light but not a great like for your main light.
