What is the tiny ones? They look familiar

User Avatar @the.coral.garden 214d

Baby bam bams can’t wait for those to grow out

User Avatar @Wandering_Moss_39 215d

What are you doing to make them look so good? May i ask your lighting setup and par, and tank parameters? I want mine to look this good

User Avatar @the.coral.garden 215d

Light is a 130w reef light 100% blues 20% everything else the zoas are at about 72 par.Salinity 1.026, Ph 8.2, Kh 9, Cal 423, MG 1276, Nitrates 9, Phosphate .03 best thing is stability find a range that works and keep it there any changes you make do it slow and small

Thanks for the info. Currently working on getting phosphates down due to over-feeding to get my nitrates up.

Chaeto worked well for me dropping phosphates πŸ‘πŸΌ

User Avatar @Wandering_Moss_39 215d

Tried chaeto. Didn't do well. Have an AIO with sump in the back. I put the chaeto in a refugium with light overhead. Even with turning it from time to time, the chaeto melted on the bottom and nuisance algae took over

User Avatar @skebo 215d

If you have a aio try an hob refugium. There is also a reef2reef thread of someone using a smaller canister (like gfo) and some grow lights on bendy poles wrapped around outside.

Thanks

I agree with this as well
