What does it mean

I believe this is somewhat normal. On my large colonies of Stylos and birdsnest they are bleached at the bottom too. I believe because no light gets there.

Yes, some dieback on the lower interior branches of an SPS coral can be completely normal, especially in larger colonies. You should see the dieback on the base interior of my basketball size birds nest. I’ll try and remember to post a pic this evening.

You rocks are super white new tank?

The tank itself is about a year old but yeah i put in new marco shelf rock about 2 months ago
