Working with Reef By Steele, I have been cultivating my own copepods and my own phytoplankton two different types of phytoplankton, one is diatom based and the other is just straight phytoplankton. The diatom beast helps compete in reducing diet blooms in your tank while feeding your corals, and obviously cultivating copepods makes my red mandarin very happy.

Go look at Reef By Steele’s site you can buy all the equipment you need to culture pods and phyto. https://reefbysteele.com/

I went to their site and it looks very interesting, but it’s extremely confusing. Have no idea where to start.

Call Kent. Him and Sherry are awesome. He walked me through it in the beginning and now it’s a breeze. Dinkins sells good product, but nobody can afford to just buy copepods and phytoplankton to treat your fish and corals the right way. But buy a 16oz bottle and make a gallon save 16oz and make another gallon. Buy the proper copepods and turn one bottle into four, feed your tank save some and grow more. It’s really that simple.
