Not sure what this is. First I thought early aptasia. Now im being told on Reddit it’s possible colonial hydroids. Have been recommended getting a flameback angel but know nothing about them. And at $250 I kinda want to be sure I know what it is. Appreciate the advice everyone.

They do look like hydriods just from images ive seen. I’ve never experienced them myself. Do they multiply fast? I’ve learned to not freak out at the first sign of a pest and ruin your day over it. Usually there is a logical solution and/or they don’t bother coral.
Apparently they can under the right conditions. Not sure how long they have been there for. Was searching for my brittle star and found these guys (and the star) in this little pocket my nem has kinda bridged with its foot lol. Wonder what else is in there cause I’m missing a goby lol.
