Water change day and noticed this growing among Xenia can anyone identify? Really hoping it’s not Aiptasia starting….

I would take out the rock and chip off the bit of rock with the aiptasia or apply boiled water on the aiptasia, but be careful of the possibly toxic fumes. There is a very high chance that its not alone tho. If you stress the aiptasia, it will spill its guts out and from them they can spread all around and grow new aiptasia so try to be precise

Thanks for the advise will try and chip it off later, as far as I know it’s the only one…..that I’ve spotted

You can also target kill these. Products like F Aiptasia or Aiptasia X applied to the oral disc will melt it. This is an ongoing process. Typically without livestock that consumes aiptaisa they just become something to manage rather then eradicate

I have tried Aiptasia X but i feel like it only spreads them all over, also they don't always die, in a few weeks a new one is in the same spot.
