New Fish tank update. Alkalinity is super low for some reason at 4.2. Did a 2 gallon water change with different salt to see what would happen. And if it doesn’t change it, I have a way to dose it.

When I set up my tank I wanted to keep it simple, although it is expensive I use redsea coral pro salt, I've only had to worry about alkalinity as my LPS have gotten larger and split. Early on as you're adding corals - if you use salt like redsea with relatively high alkalinity you won't have to worry about dosing as long as you do regular water changes. Tropic marin also makes a great salt although it will keep your alk a few points lower

I had this same issue when I set up my HelloReef. I’m not sure what the low reading was attributable to, but I ended up dosing alkalinity after 2 months of low readings
