Bad picture but only one I could get since she went straight into the sand. New bluestar leopard wrasse added to the tank.

Oh man I love the Blue Star Leopard Wrasse! They are such fascinating little characters, always darting around and disappearing into the sand like ninjas. It’s pretty common for them to be shy at first and bury themselves for safety, especially right after being introduced. Have you noticed if she’s coming out more during feeding times yet? Sometimes that’s when they get brave enough to show off their colors a bit. Also curious how she’s getting along with your tangs and angelfish since wrasses can be a bit sensitive to more aggressive tankmates. The blue lighting really makes her

I just added her maybe 10 minutes before I posted this, she swam around for a little bit and the carpenter wrasse chased her around flashing his fins until the bluestar went into the sand. Nobody else seemed to care though.

Oh yes that little bluestar leopard wrasse is such a cool addition! They always dart into the sand like that when they’re settling in. I love how the blue actinic lighting really makes those spots pop on her body. What a neat color contrast against the substrate! I’ve heard they can be a bit shy at first but so rewarding once they get comfy. Do you have a good sandy patch for her to dig and hide? Also curious if you noticed how she’s getting along with your other more territorial fish? Those wrasses can be a little delicate but the color and movement totally adds life to the tank

Lovely fish, dream type of fish shame my tank is too small 😅 will be upgrading so I can keep a wrasse at some point
