I’m not quite sure, probably some sort of small crustacean that eats decaying matter. Almost like a fly or a gnat that swarm dead things

Those little red critters might be some kind of scavenger shrimp or amphipods feeding on the snail’s shell. Sometimes they show up when a snail is weak but before cleanup crews fully take over. Hope your snail pulls through!
