Can anyone identify the red/orange growth on my my live rock please? Tank is 3 months old and the rock was purchased as live rock from my LFS.

*edit : Blasting water at it with a turkey baster doesn't remove it

Looks like coralline algae. It comes in all shades from redish to purple. It’s a good thing

Thank you Billy

Is it only on the Rock or also on the sand bed in other places ?

Hi, it's only on this one rock

Then Billy’s answer is most likely the right answer. Some algae can have that color but if it’s centralized to one rock most likely coralline which like he said is good. I love the way it looks and covers my rocks!!
