Who knew reef keeping was so hard. You get one parameter sorted then the rest blow up in you face, Ughhhhh.

Totally feel you! It’s like a juggling act with alk, calc, and mag all needing to be in sync. At least running tests with the SpinTouch makes it easier to catch the swings early before adding any livestock.

Why is alk so high? Fwiw the margin of error on the API spindisk is like 30%.

It’s just a spin touch from my LFS there really good from what I’ve found there located in the Brisbane area. Reeftopia if your wondering, they do sometimes charge for tests but I’ve tested there heaps and only got charged once so I could really tell you. Super reliable though.

I just did the same. Just getting started in reefing. The wife is already mad about cost of lights and other things so that will have to wait. Lol.
