After a few months of trying everything to get rid of this gha, I decided it was time to take out all the rock and re scape the 25 lagoon. After a few hours and way too much water, I removed about 7lbs of rock and I’m happy with how it turned out. Everything doesn’t look so crammed into the tank now. Just need to frag up the zoa rock that was removed and pick up some more glue to attach all my acans.

Taking out all the rock won’t crash your tank ?

Not necessarily. I pulled it all out and transferred it to a tub of fresh saltwater. Gave all the sand a really good cleaning. Then pulled the rock out of the water smashed it with a mini sledge and put it back in water. From there I filled the tank halfway with fresh saltwater and stacked the rocks until I found a scape I liked. Glued underwater. I have ceramic bio balls in one of my chambers so that should make up for the loss in rock that didn’t go back in the tank. Rock was out of water about the same amount of time it would be for a water change so all bacteria was kept live.

Gotcha, I’m gonna need to remove some rock out of my pico but was worried it would crash. Most of it will go back it just need to re-scape.

You should be good as long as it’s kept in water, or not out of water for too long keeping all the bacteria alive is essential.
