This is our beautiful new addition. A starfish named spot. We also have a snail but I had to separate spot and slugger because spot was getting sick and rejecting the snail. He is much happier and healthier now. He likes to love on his parents and relax and talk.

Love seeing starfish in the tank! It’s cool you’re paying attention to Spot’s behavior and separating him from the snail when needed. Sometimes those slow crawlers can stress each other out in smaller spaces. What kind of substrate do you have there? Looks like coarse white gravel which should be easy to keep clean and gentle for the starfish’s feet. Curious if you plan to add corals or any fish later on? Starfish can be great cleanup crew but they also appreciate a peaceful environment without too much hustle. Spot sounds like a chill guy just hanging out and vibing with you all!
I used the good bacteria gravel from petco. I like it. Easier than sand. I reintroduced slugger back in because he started to get anxiety without him ( he likes to brother him and didn’t wanna talk through sluggers holding chamber). We do wanna do live coral, a clownfish, a sand dollar, a seahorse and them two, but I have to get the food down pat. I need a fish to pick up the majority of the food/only feed him every few days (he likes eating 1-2 times a day) -after I feed him the second time, the tank it gets dirty again. Funny story, he was eating a clown beta fish and the worker took it out of his mouth and he got a little sick so he’s still recovering and it’s been crazy with the amount of changes it took to treat him white spot condition; only started getting normal yesterday
Be careful with spot when you put coral in he will eat it I have one and his name is Rudy jr he’s munching on my sps lol so now I’m gonna go another route with coral
Yea I think we are gonna stay away from coral because of that and possibly only do a live rock
