I bought a kid’s microscope to help identify the type of algae I have in my aquarium. I’m not sure if it’s diatoms or dinoflagellates. The microscope claims to go up to 1200x magnification, but I’m not sure how accurate that is.
Do you think it would be effective for identifying the algae?
