I’m not getting much of an answer on my Facebook reef group I’m in. Anyone know what the yellow little fuzzy growth is on my Duncan?

Take the Duncan out and scape that off. The Duncan doesn’t look happy with it.
Yeah monitor it’s extension for a day or two, if it closes up more probably best to remove. If you’re talking about near the base, looks like bubble algae. If you men’s that tiny speck near the head, maybe a sponge?
Where would the sponge have come from? I dip all my corals before introducing them to the tank. It’s gone this morning however. Chat GBT said it could have been its internal organs being irritated or a sting from the rock flower anemones I introduced on Tuesday.
So this is how it looks this morning. Had to share the famous photo bomber
hmm that fuzz looks like algae probs
It actually went away and hasn’t come back. So I’m chalking it up to a sting from when I added the rock flowers and they decided to act like tumbleweeds.
Oh awesome that it cleared up! Those rock flowers can be tricky sometimes. Did you do anything special to help it go away
No kidding. I was so relieved. I left it completely alone honestly. I would’ve intervened with a dip and scrub on day 3 but it didn’t get so out of control that I felt like I needed to do anything. And it went away. I did watch it like a hawk though.
That’s awesome it just chilled out on its own! I’m nervous about messing with mine too early. Watching closely is definitely
Are your corals doing something that you feel like you need to intervene on?
Not really yet! Jyoust trying to spot any weird color changes or weird growth. Still learning what’s normal haha. Yoyou?
I’m just learning too! Had a tank about 7 years ago that was successful and trying to get back into it and follow what I did as opposed to what’s new. I think it’s working ? Lol
