I HAVE FIXED MY PARAMETERS ISSUES, i got it checked at my LFS today and it was… not great to say the least, so i did a massive water change and checked it with the new gear i bought and i fixed atleast what i could check
PH: 8.0
Salinity: 1.025
nirate: 0
thats all the parameters i checked so far because everything else was either untestable at home at the moment for was good enough
i should be able to actually start having some animals in the tank soon
probably next sunday i will buy some hermit crabs and emerald crabs, but im not sure
Epik parameter
No3 = 50
No2 = 1

My first set up newbie…. Currently finishing up the cycling process

Does anyone have an idea how to get rid of Dinoflagellates? They keep coming back. I’ve started dosing Dino X, but it’s affecting my water quality—my pH just keeps dropping.
75 degrees today. Opened the window and ph is now 8.3 🤣🤣nothing like good fresh air
I brought in my water and my ph was to high. I bought the treatment and it’s getting better <3 (I realized also I have build up on the sides so that will be my next investment)… thanks guys :) (off to work :)

I am concerned about my toad stool it has been 14 days since it last opened and I am concerned that a spike in PH has killed it.
Thoughts?
Question! I’ve been dosing R2R for a couple weeks now and got my alkalinity, mag and calcium pretty dialed in after some trial and error and daily testing. My PH has been running on the high side, about 8.6 average with sometimes Hanna blinking so might be a little more than that. Everything seems happy, would you do anything to lower it a little? Been doing some reading and maybe simply changing positioning of the wave maker and pumps to get more surface agitation or would adding a protein skimmer help?? Welcome to any suggestions! Thanks!
Help! My pH has crashed since I started carbon dosing. I’m already dosing kalkwasser and have two CO2 scrubbers. Anyone have any ideas how to get it back above 8.2?
does anyone else have issues keeping their pH above 8? Mine is just hardlocked at 7.8 and even when adding buffers the pH went from 8.1-8.2 right back down to 7.8 in under a day.
Recirculating CO2 scrubber.
Set it up today at 7.80, let's see if I can get it my pH to 8.2-8.3.
Using soda lime connected to the skimmer air intake and recirculating air from the skimmer lid.
Thoughts?
Any ideas to raise ph and not cal or alk there all perfect just ph is at like 7.4 ish
