I brought in my water and my ph was to high. I bought the treatment and it’s getting better <3 (I realized also I have build up on the sides so that will be my next investment)… thanks guys :) (off to work :)
Things are thriving despite my worry over bottomed out nitrate levels! I got myself a Hanna Nitrate tester so I can more accurately see where things are at. I’m so far benchmark test with it is 1.29ppm. I have Brightwell Neonitro on hand just in case but refraining from using it yet till I monitor trends for a little while. Started increasing feedings and changing the filter sock once a week instead of twice in case things were ‘too clean’. But despite my worry, everything is happy and growing!
I finally got the parameters right. My NO3 was way too high, and PO4 wouldn't get a little bit up. I did several water changes and let everything settle.
The candy blue coral had a hard time. I replaced it, and it looks like it's getting better.
But one of the corals, I think, has given birth, lol. The other ones are looking great too. I hope the candy cane will get the colors back that it had.🤞🏾
It took a lot of time and patience to get where I am at wish I would’ve took it slow I lost a lot of beautiful fish but it is definitely a lesson learned
Sandbed is finally clearing up. I’ve been dealing with an extremely dirty sandbed for many months. I added nassarius snails, 4 jars of copedpods, feeding phyto daily, and added AquaForest Life Source over. All with the goal of growing bio diversity in the tank and pretty happy with the progress so far.

Here’s an update… lost about $100+ worth of corals but you know how it is you come back harder!!
The reef is finally feeling itself after old tank syndrome claimed a few coral! I replaced most of the rock and all of the sand.
Side view 🙂
