Skipped last weekends 50% water change because my nitrates and phosphates bottomed out after adding a fleece roller, feeding less, removing a clownfish, and adding a bag of copepods
My nitrates and phosphates are still bottomed out.
Over the week, I've done the following since I last posted the issue.
- Skipped Water Change
- Slightly increased feedings
- Lowered Speed of Fleece roller
- Reintroduced Clownfish from QT
- Stopped cleaning rear wall algae
I also tested Calcium and Magnesium, and those have dropped to critically low levels which I assume is due to skipping the water change. Ammonia and Nitrite 0.
Should I go ahead with my normal 50% water change to at least bring the calcium and magnesium back up a bit?

It’s only a 52L tank. I have a frogspawn(closed few days) everything else is fine 2 clownfish urchin torch and mushroom
My damselfish started to defend its territory under the rock and I saw people say it could harm others fish, but mine seems to be just nibbing the female clownfish. Was it safe?
So I’ve got a question.. I have a 55 gallon saltwater aquarium with 20 gallon sump. I neglected the tank for about a two month time frame due to circumstances (not proud of it).. been trying to get it back up and running like it used to. I have 2 clownfish, a royal gramma, coral beauty, 2 chromis, and a Kleins butterfly. My cleanup crew was awful before with only two turbo snails and two emerald crabs. The two turbo snails are no longer in the tank. Would 2 trochas, 3 cerith, 2 nassarius, 2 dwarf hermits, and a cleaner shrimp be a sufficient cleanup crew? That’s with the two emerald crabs already there. And potentially a lawnmower blenny at some point
Hey guys. Should I still be feeding my tank although my clownfish died? Obv I would do way less amount wise but idk
What’s on my clownfish?!?! This appeared over night I did a 1 minute freshwater dip but nothing changed.
Tanks looking good today are these strips accurate guys?? I’m getting clownfish pretty soon just wanna be sure everything’s good
Hi everyone, this is my tank which is 30x20x20 (excluding the water filtration system area, it is 20x20x20) and has 1 mini Blue Tang, 1 Mini clownfish and 1 cleaner shrimp. I am currently looking to clean my sand bed. Do you have any suggestions on how to clean the sand bed, using any method or using any creatures? Thank you very much everyone.
Is this bad??? I need help please let me know my room and goby died my coral won’t come out n my clownfish is getting bad

I'm scrambling because I was not prepared for this.. Came home from work to my clownfish not getting along, to say the least.
Over the last few days, the dominant clown had started chasing the smaller a bit more than usual. Today, I came home, and it was chasing the other while trying to nip at it. It got to the point where I felt I had to intervene.
Was only able to capture the stressed clown because he was hiding next to the nozzle of the return pump, right at the surface trying to catch his breath. I didn't know clownfish could swim so fast in such a precise manner and not hit any rocks head on in their 20g cube.
Now that I got the smaller and my favorite clown into the mesh basket, I tried to figure out what I should do.
A dark omen? A sign of distress? Natural but rarely seen behavior? Or did my emerald crab just replace me as man of the house while simultaneously starting a clownfish riot?
My mind is blown.. I don't know what to think. This hobby is full of surprises, though.
Any insight?
