Hello from Jacksonville, NC! I've had this aquarium over 10 years. But we just recently had to reset it up after Hurricane Florence disaster. I have a 225g with 55g sump. I'm still working on it. It has a coast to coast bean animal overflow. I have a Seachem 250 skimmer, Coralife UV, among other things. I still have to replace an OceanRevive light as it just quit on me. Same for the Maxpect Geyer controllers. Can't wait to fully stock this and have my little ecosystem in my home. I'm always looking for supplies. Currently, I only have 1 clown and gobi.
Running out of plugs pretty quick! Still not set up the 4+2 reefdose heads or even turned skimmer on!
Recirculating CO2 scrubber.
Set it up today at 7.80, let's see if I can get it my pH to 8.2-8.3.
Using soda lime connected to the skimmer air intake and recirculating air from the skimmer lid.
Thoughts?
Okay so I had an old 29 gallon in the garage and I really don’t like my current set up with my sump. So I decided to build my own. I bought all the stuff and I’m just planning now. I want to fit both the skimmer and a refugium because I have a mandarin and want a good copepod surplus. Does this set up look ok? I’m hoping that in the future I might just take the socks out and do maybe a 30 then 40 then 50 ppi(maybe more if they have that). Just so I don’t have to worry about replacing socks every 2-3 days.
It looked like it cut off the original so I’m going to post both sides of it to be safe
Any one know why I never have anything in my skimmer cup? It bubbles up. It’s working but it’s always empty
Tips from someone who has the 13.5 Gallon Fluval Evo tank with the mini Fluval Sea Protein Skimmer? I have no clue if mines doing anything and I can’t really get the water to go up high enough to fill the cup. I got the skimmer bcuz I was getting an oily film on the top of my water and while adjusting the aim on the little water pumps helped a little it didn’t do enough.
