Hi. I have an issue with high calcium in my nano tank. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations on how to reduce it? Or should I just leave it alone?

No tengo experiencia con eso. ¿Ofrecen una mezcla con calcio más bajo? Tuve que cambiar de Orange Instant Ocean a Purple y ha estado perfecto desde entonces. 👌🏼
I have no experience with that stuff. Do they offer a lower calcium mix? I had to switch from orange instant ocean to purple and it’s been perfect since. 👌🏼

Yo también uso All For Reef y la alcalinidad definitivamente se retrasa en mostrarse en una prueba. Es un formiato de calcio que se convierte en alcalinidad por las bacterias. En un sistema establecido puede tomar varios días ver un aumento en la prueba, al menos así ha sido en mi sistema.
I use All For Reef too and the alkalinity is definitely delayed in showing up on a test. It's a calcium formate converted to alkalinity by bacteria. On an established system it can take several days to see an increase show up on a test, at least that's how it's been with my system.

Tengo agua de pozo. En realidad agua de pozo manantial. Vivo en el noreste de Tennessee en las montañas y probé mi agua RO antes de añadir sal y estaba alta en calcio. Bastante chistoso. Todos los filtros nuevos en la unidad RO de 4 etapas
I have well water. Actually spring well water. I live in north east Tennessee in the mountains and I tested my rodi water before adding salt and it was high in calcium. Kinda funny. All new filters on 4 stage rodi unit

High calc can probs be chill if alk and mag are stable tho. Maybe dial down dosing a bit?

Gotcha! Maybe try easing up on the AFR dosing a bit and see if that helps calm the calc down. Sometimes less

También estoy de acuerdo con el otro tipo porque tengo la sensación de que la alcalinidad del AFR se retrasa o no se muestra en la prueba, ya que me ha pasado muchas veces al usar AFR incluso un mes después, pero tiende a mostrar calcio mientras la alcalinidad sigue baja en las pruebas, así que sí, bajaría como dijo el otro tipo y lo dejaría reposar un rato y esperemos que la alcalinidad aparezca
I also agree with the other guy as I have a feeling the AFR alkalinity is delayed or not showing up on test as I’ve had it happen many times when stating AFR even a month later but tends to show calcium while alk remains low on tests so yeah I would lower it as the other guy said and let it sit for awhile and hopefully alk will show up
Yo también tengo este problema. Mi calcio está alrededor de 480. Quería dosificar AFR por la facilidad pero como mi calcio está alto, solo dotifico Brightwell Alkalin8.3 y Brightwell Magnesion.
I have this issue too. My calc is about 480. I wanted to dose afr for the ease of it but since my calc is up I just dose brightwell alkalin8.3 and brightwell magnesion.
