Do any of you guys have any experience with the importance of checking iodine levels? I feel all my levels are good but some corals seem to not be growing, if anything shrinking slowly overtime. Example, clove star polyps, zoas, pulsing Xenia.

Con ejemplos como esos, es posible que tu agua esté demasiado limpia. Personalmente he tenido Xenia y zoas que se encogieron porque mis nutrientes estaban muy bajos y en cuanto los subí, se inflaron y estuvieron felices de nuevo.
With examples like that, it’s possible your water is too clean. Personally I’ve had Xenia and zoas shrink up because my nutrients was to low for them and as soon as I go it up, they puffed up and were happy again.

Ok gracias, estoy dispuesto a experimentar mientras llega el suplemento de yodo. Voy a saltarme un cambio de agua esta semana y a ver si logro ver signos de fortaleza/inflamiento.
Ok thanks, I’m willing to experiment while the iodine sup comes in. I’ll skip a water change this week and see if I can get signs of strength/puffiness

Difícil de decir por color pero está alrededor de .15 la semana pasada cuando revisé. Es un acuario de 20 galones con 5 peces. Agregué peces porque he agotado nutrientes antes y tuve un brote de Dino.
Hard to tell by color but it’s around .15 last week when I checked. It’s a 20 gallon with 5 fish in it. I added fish because I have depleted nutrients before and had a Dino outbreak

Va a tomar más de una semana para ver mejora en los corales. Por cuánto tiempo tardó en llegar a donde está ahora, dobla eso para recuperarse. También buscaría una forma diferente de subir nutrientes que no sea saltarse cambios de agua. Alimenta más, alimenta los corales.
It’s gonna take longer than a week to see coral improvement. However long it took to get where you are double that to recover. I’d also find a different way to up nutrients than no water change. Feed more, feed the corals.

PAR solo estimación basada en otros con la misma luz y acuario exactos, pero corriendo un spectrum Radion AB+ al 50%. Flow es algo que mi LFS acaba de recomendar intentar y subir, tengo flujo/movimiento mínimo comparado con otros según puedo ver en videos también.
Par only estimate based off others with exact light and tank, but running a radion ab+ spectrum at 50%. Flow is something my LFS just recommended to try and bump up, I have minimum flow/movement compared to others from what I can tell through videos too

Es una bomba de retorno mejorada a 500+gph, solo que bajada. La subí hoy y tiene los generadores de flujo aleatorio VCA conectados ahora.
It’s an upgraded return pump at 500+gph, just turned down. I turned it up today and it has the vca random flow generators attached now

Continua, solo lentamente y solo en algunos corales. GSP, hongos, martillos, antorchas, cálices todos parecen estar bien.
On going, just slowly and only for some corals. Gsp, mushrooms, hammers, torches, chalices all seem fine.

No duele. Hay algo en el agua que no les gusta. También podría ser un culpable como una pieza de metal recubierto en algo deteriorándose o voltaje errante. Quizás una sonda de tierra si no puedes averiguar nada. Son una opción barata de intentar.
Can't hurt. There's something in the water they don't like. Could also be a culprit like a coated piece of metal on something deteriorating or stray voltage. Maybe a grounding probe if you can't figure anything out. They're a cheap try.
