The Goldbar Wrasse is a beautiful saltwater fish known for its striking colors. It has a vibrant yellow body with a distinct black stripe running laterally from its eye to its tail.

Reef Safe

With caution. While they will not harm corals, they may eat small invertebrates.

Environment

The Goldbar Wrasse prefers a tank with plenty of hiding spots and open swimming areas. They thrive in tanks with live rock for grazing and a sandy substrate for burrowing.

Behavior

Goldbar Wrasses are active swimmers and tend to spend most of their time in the middle or bottom of the tank. They are known to be jumpers, so a secure lid is necessary. They can be semi-aggressive, especially towards other wrasses.

Very hardy and colorful fish. The most social fish I’ve ever had, it would follow me every where I went in my room. Can be very aggressive especially to other large thassaloma wrasse.
