Description
A striking mid-sized Australasian angelfish with a dark blue body crossed by a broad yellow bar behind the head, a yellow dorsal band and bright yellow tail, all overlaid with the pale blue squiggles that give it its name. It is one of the milder-mannered large angels, generally semi-aggressive toward similar-shaped fish but easily bullied by boisterous tankmates, and needs a mature 125+ gallon tank with abundant live rock, caves and open swimming lanes. Like most Chaetodontoplus it grazes constantly and will sample LPS, soft corals, zoanthids and clam mantles, so it is best kept in a fish-only or carefully chosen mixed reef with frequent feedings of sponge- and algae-based angel preparations.

Environment
The Scribbled Angel thrives in a well-lit aquarium with plenty of hiding spots. They prefer a tank with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding. The water temperature should be kept between 72 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
Behavior
The Scribbled Angel is generally peaceful but may become territorial with other angel fish. It is best to house them with other peaceful species. They are active swimmers and will need plenty of space to move around.
