Upgraded my protein skimmer from rs-4003 to boyu wg-310
And the favia prob got scared or smth idk,the tissue originally on the white lined area was gone,causing the skeleton to expose

For a new tank a stronger protein skimmer can be worse. It takes out all the nitrates from the water. When corals need some. I wouldn’t run a protein skimmer until you are getting nitrates above 5ppm
