Are you gonna be adding corals and nems?

User Avatar @postalcub97 352d

I haven't added anything yet it's completely new cycle I got the rock 2nd hand and had been outside for a while so did a bleach cure so it's completely new except the carib sea live sand and I think we do want corals like hammers and mushrooms things like that wife doesn't like zoas

Okay, the ammonia is still high you want that to be at zero, plus itโ€™s ideal to have the nitrates between 5-10ppm, in my opinion I would say the tank is still cycling and needs a little more time. Keep dosing your beneficial bacteria and do a 10% water change to bring those nitrates down. Once you can successfully add ammonia to the tank and it is gone within 24 hours your tank is ready. Also when getting ready to add corals you will want to test magnesium calcium alkalinity and phosphates if youโ€™re doing a fish only tank then those tests are as important. Feel free to message me with questions if you got any!
