Day #6 π π₯
The Flowerhorn tank is officially entering the nitrite spike phase of the nitrogen cycle π¬
Current parameters:
β’ Ammonia: 0.25 ppm
β’ Nitrite: 1.0 ppm
β’ Nitrate: 0.50+ ppm
β’ pH: 7.6
Good signs:
β Beneficial bacteria growing
β Ammonia dropping
β Nitrates appearing
β Crystal clear water
β Heavy filtration & oxygenation running 24/7
Now we wait for the nitrites to fall and the ecosystem to stabilize before the Flowerhorn arrives ππ
Slow processβ¦ but worth doing right π―

Looks like youβre doing all the right things with that heavy filtration and oxygenation! Waiting out the cycle can be tough but definitely worth it to keep that water crystal clear for your Flowerhorn. Excited to see how the tank shapes up once heβs in there!
Thanks π Taking it slow and letting the bacteria do their thing ππ₯ Hopefully ready for the Flowerhorn this week
