How long can frags stay in the bag they came in before having to go in the tank? Just got some today and not sure of how I want to place them so was hoping I could wait till tomorrow?

The sooner the better. Waiting another day is a risk. Id plob the bag in your tank to acclimate the temp. Put in your tank and you can always move them later.

I would personally put them in the sand just some you don’t run the risk of killing off the coral.

I usually try to at least have the bag in the tank water within 30 minutes to an hour after getting them, and have them acclimate for 30-45 minutes in these freezing temperatures in Chicago.

Can't you just put them in the sand bed until then?
