I saw this (blue thing) on my rocks for about 5 seconds before it crawled into a hole in the rock. Could anyone ID it & should I find it & remove it or is it good to just leave be TIA

Okay what does it do for my tank though?

It’s a great little cleaner! Helps keep algae in check and adds some natural vibe without taking up space. Definitely a chill

It’s just a little starfish πŸ’™

Asterina starfish, mostly good, I've heard ones with color in the middle may like coral a little too much.

I didn’t notice any color. Only coral in this tank so far is a Kenya tree

The one you have looks to be an okay one, the others have red coloring on the back I believe

I had a few of these when I first started. I just started pulling them when I saw them and after 4-5 I never saw them again. I didn’t want to mess with them at the time. But like the others said, very likely harmless. If numbers go crazy though harlequin shrimp apparently eat them like popcorn.
