Thank you! 🙌🏽 turning off the skimmer and feeding more I think helped with the Dinos and then I did 3 days of darkness to help combat the hair algae

Nice! A lot of BRS YouTube videos make you think a new tank needs a skimmer. I ran into the same issue with my first tank. In reality probably don’t need one for at least a year or until nitrates are uncontrollable. We can work on informing the peeps haha

You’re 100% right. Especially with such a low bio load in this tank, I think holding off on a skimmer is the move. I can definitely make a video on this tank and showcase it on the ReefBay channel :)

That crushed coral substrate looks great for stabilizing pH in a nano setup! Live rock placement is key in a 30 gallon to maximize flow and keep dinos at bay. Keep us updated when you start adding corals!
