Mine always does it when there's a flow change. Like when I turn the pumps off for feeding. I have a few and they do the same thing

Test kits are a must in this hobby. I would never reef without one. API master reef kit at minimum.

Never buy the petco imaginatarium brand, i threw mine out because the results were way off from my other kits.

API master reef test kit is the cheapest you should go. Do not add anything else to the tank until you test your water. Study your butt off.

I moved the direction of flow and my Kenya hated it for a couple days, I wouldn’t be too worried yet. But definitely buy some test kits and make sure your lighting is decent.
