That purple hue on those SPS branches is stunning under your blue lighting! Looks like your flow is doing a great job keeping those polyps happy and extended. I always find that morning coffee sessions with some coral therapy are the best way to start the day. How long have you had these frags going? They look super healthy and vibrant. Do you find that your alk and calcium dosing keeps them coloring that nicely? Also curious if youβve noticed any shifts in polyp extension during different parts of the day with your current light schedule. Keep those colors popping!
I never skip the coffee when I do maintenance, itβs part of the ritual at this point π β The smaller frags Iβve had for about a month now, and the bigger ones are between 3β8 months. Honestly, I think what helps them color up nicely is time, stability, and patience more than anything. I keep alk pretty steady between 7.5β8 dKH and calcium around 430β450. Nutrients have been a little tricky lately, phosphates are higher than Iβd like, and my nitrates actually bottomed out last week. Polyp extension has definitely improved over time, especially after I added two DMP40s on each end of the tank, the flow made a big difference. And yes, Iβm running Moonshiners as well. Slowly dialing everything in and letting the corals guide me.
Ah yes the magical coffee coral combo never fails! Your alk and calcium are spot on and those DMP40s sound like
Yes they are! And you canβt beat the price!
