Depends on how well you keep pod population up and what else you have in the tank. They eat constantly so if other things eat pods they will wipe out pretty quickly

Love the mandarin, how do you feel about keeping them? They’re so cool but idk if the abundance of pods needed is hard to maintain
This is actually my 2nd one in the tank. I never clean my back glass, have pod hideouts in the tank and dose phyto 2 times a week. Just make sure you get enough to start so that you have ones to reproduce while others get eaten.
Beautiful, what do you use for pods hideout? I have a mandarin and my pods population is very minimum to none, I constantly have to pour pods but is coming out expensive lol
I have pod hotels hidden within the rock. Also I have an anemone basket in the display with cheato in it. A safe place for them to eat and reproduce.
Are pods hotel good? I heard that is a myth lol
It doesn’t have to be a pod hotel. Some rubble rock will work. Just need places they can reproduce and not get eaten. They will live on anything so mine has tons of pods but so does my rock piles.
