Okay, update.
Got another pincushion urchin. I was told to add a tablespoon of my tank water to the bag every 5 min til the bag was 3/4 full. I did that. This is what my urchin looks like. I really don’t want this one to die… can anyone give me any tips?
Last pic of it was when I first got him last night, he’s in the bag.
Did a 5 gallon water change today. I’ll update my water parameters after the tank water circulates a bit more.

I also did slow drip acclimation for a while, but in your case you should be good if the salinity in the bag is good and the temp matches the display, so I’d float the bag to stabilize temp and test the salinity of the bag and the display tank, and if alls good put in the urchin Just be careful with the little guy, I had a really hard time taking mine out of the acclimation container because they stick so well, I’d just let the urchin walk out from the bag onto the glass to not stress or injure it
I dumped the bag in my tank cuz I’ve heard they arnt supposed to touch air, the lady at the pet store just picked him up and put him in the bag of water tho. But I don’t know if he’s moving or not.

I did a super slow drip acclimation from my display to my sump for about 2 hours, then I added it to the display water and all, from what I understand they aren’t supposed to touch the air at all.
