Did you use food to cycle the tank?

User Avatar @Crocboi1 56d

Btw it’s just part of the process

User Avatar @Jlyn 56d

No, no food, no fish, no corals and no lights

User Avatar @Crocboi1 56d

Don’t worry it’s just a type of spreading algae how many weeks?

User Avatar @Jlyn 56d

3 weeks now

User Avatar @Crocboi1 56d

Ok just wait 1 or 3 more weeks it should be gone if not get an algae eating fish or invert

looks like cyano start hang in there!

🫠 I sure hope not

That red stuff looks like cyano algae, which is pretty common during cycling. It usually means low flow or low nitrates so try increasing water movement in that corner and maybe a little cleanup crew to keep it in check!
