Wanted to show the uglies. I feel like every one shows their tanks from the best possible angle after a deep clean, which is totally understandable. This is a 3 and a half month tank after a full week without maintanance. What do you think?

I’m on my first tank, 9 months in and having a delayed ugly phase 😅probably would have wished or one earlier when I had less coral and livestock

Idk because every tank has an ugly phase differently mine is more of a cyano/bubble algea/green algea mix

I see, mine looks like diatoms, and some longer brown algae. It's been like this for a month, all parameters are in line tough

I’ve been to my lfs and got some CUC and some filter floss, algea has started clearing up, still wondering why my zoas are disintegrating(I think it is light intensity) but anyway the frag was a tester and it’s good to have my tank going on course - also invested in a hight quality class cleaner, I think it is by rolling reef, would reccomend

Yeah, i have 3 nassarius, 2 turbos and a blue hermit, seems like its not enough, wondering if for the substrate it would be a good idea to get a a sandsifting starfish

Sand sifting star is a no can do for me because I have a tiger pistol, I might get one once I upgrade to a larger tank (in the very close future) and I’ll be able to get more fish
