First scare last night. Ink bird shut the heater off due to it heating for 6hrs n not reaching the temp set at. It was a little cooler in the house. I'm thinking I need a second heater in my tank? Or extend the heat time from 6 to 10hrs? I keep my house pretty cool all year. Current heater is an eheim 75watt. Tank is 20 gallon. Temp did drop to 76.5. I'm raising it slowly now..

Don’t worry about tank dropping to 76.5°. Your coral and fish will do ok. I’ve had my heater shut off and tank drop all the way down to 68° for a day and everything was fine. That actually has happened twice…hah Also 76-78 is a totally normal range. If your heater can’t sustain 78 try setting for 77 and or buy a second heater and connect both to the ink bird
