Hi there, let me introduce myself to this new world I'm entering.

This is my first saltwater tank that someone I know started on May 15, 2025, but unfortunately, he has no time to continue with the hobby, so he searched for someone who wanted to take over, and I did! I know it isn't easy if you're new to this world, but I did a lot of research to start well.

For now, I'm testing daily, and we had some issues with transporting the water. There was one Jerrycan with a leak, so I had to make some new water. But now my calcium and magnesium are a little bit high.

Looking good, I wouldnt worry about your calcium and magnesium being a bit high. Calcium should be fine as long as its not north of 500ppm although 380-450ppm is better. It will come down as it is used by corals. Magnesium can be very high with no downsides, wouldn't worry unless its over 1700ppm. What are you using for testing?

Here in the Netherlands they recommended colombo and salifert. I think I gonna stock to salifert

Salifert is a good choice, very reliable. I would recommend Hanna checkers for convenience though, dont know if they are available there though. Haven't heard of Colombo, not something we have in the US.

Thanks. I would like to get an anemone for clownfish also, but for now I need to wait and watch everything rise so I know everything is going well.
