I got got my tailspot blenny on Saturday but now there’s this weird white film on its side. I’ve seen the night stripes on it and this doesn’t look like them, I don’t know what’s wrong with it. Does anyone have any ideas? (sorry the pictures aren’t great it’s still a little shy)

Hard w this picture. Is he eating? Acting normal? Maybe stress or he scratched on a rock. Doesnt look parasitic to me but could be bacterial/fungle. Is he moving ok?

He’s moving fine (I think I’ve never had a blenny before) he keeps rubbing that side against rocks but he could just be eating stuff off them. idk if this helps but I got a better(ish) picture

No, of he is rubbing on the rocks somethings irritating him. Have any medications on hand? Can you quarantine him?

I still can't make anything out on him. Maybe others can.

This is my first/only saltwater tank and I don’t have any medication. Is there anything you would recommend?

There are a few options yes. But it really depends on the id of a problem. Fluke gills? I'd go for a prazi bath if you can put him in another tank?

Even if he's just rubbed himself raw prazi would sooth
