This one has me scratching my head. Parameters have been stable, and are included below. Corals and fish all look happy and healthy other than my toadstool which has slowly (over the past two weeks or so) started to open less and less. No change to lighting, flow, temp, dosing regimen or salt mix. Any ideas? Next step for me would be ICP test I guess.
Parameters:
Temp 77.9-78.1
Salinity 1.025
PH 8
Alk 8.2
Nitrate 2-4
Phos .02
Mag 1380
Cal 440
Tank is about 10 months old. This toadstool has been in the tank for at least 7 months and has grown considerably.

Softies, toadstools specifically, need high flow to slough off a mucus layer that they produce. If yours was doing fine and is now doing worse after growing, my guess is that the change in shape from growing is causing it to receive less, and therefore not enough, flow. Maybe try increasing the flow that it receives.
That was what I was starting to think also. It gets pretty high flow but I’ll turn it up and see if there are improvements. Thank you!
