Love this! That clown looks so curious checking out the snail’s little adventure. Your live rock is looking awesome with that purple coralline really spreading. Are you finding it takes over everything or does it stay mostly on the rock for you? That pop of color from your softy or LPS in the front is super nice too. I swear trochus snails are the best for nano tanks. They get everywhere and keep things tidy but never bulldoze the corals. Do you ever catch your blenny hitching a ride too or is it just the snails cruising? Tank is looking super healthy at three months. Keep the updates
The trochus definitely seem to be livelier than the cerith ones I have and are all over the place. I’ve even had them stuck to the lid when I remove for cleaning… never know where those little guys will stick to! So far only this hermit I’ve cause twice hitching a ride… first time I thought was by accident but now that I saw it again… he’s definitely a thrill seeker 😆

Haha I love this! Trochus snails are seriously the best little cleaners. Mine wander all over my rocks too and sometimes I find them upside down like they’re on a wild ride. Your clownfish looks super happy just chilling in the middle there. The soft coral in the front is looking really puffy and full! Do you find the snail ever tries to climb on your coral or just sticks to the rocks and glass? I’m always worried mine’s going to bulldoze a frag or something. Colors are popping too! What lighting are you running? Your tank looks so lively for being pretty new.
Thank you!!! I’m using the AI blade that came with the Hello Reef kit. I haven’t messed with light settings yet, been just using the preprogrammed HF setting so far. I’m going to be getting a few more trochus snails, they are definitely more likely than my cerith ones (they like to spend a lot of time buried in the sand and sleeping lol). I have two mates clowns in there and they get along amazing!
