cleaning day. still fighting the vermetid snails. I have at least 30 bubble bee snails. but I still don't see progress. I just make sure nothing is bothering my corals. I run white light for 2 hours twice everyday. The rest of the time the tank is blue. I wonder how others deal with vermetid snails. I really don't want to pour anything into the tank. every 3 months I take out the rock work and scrap them off. they just keep coming back. but Corals are expanding and doing well.

I had a bunch as well. I pulled the rock and broke them. No just the tube but smashing at the base, then would follow up with a DIY coral snow treatment. There are different opinions on if that helps or not but I figured it wouldn’t hurt. I did that once a month for 3 months. Seems to have resolved it or at least keep it in check enough that my bumblebee snails keep it controlled. It is annoying and time consuming but if you can smash as many as possible in all the crevices and cracks that helps. I would pull out the rock and tank water to keep it wet as I flipped and turned the rock smashing. Trying to keep as much crap out of the tank.

Yup. That's how I plan to do it at the next water change.

I’ve also battle them for quite a while and have kinda thrown in the towel. I just don’t have the time to deal with them and have accepted them haah. It’s the only pest in my tank so could be worse I guess…

Crush bases and lower feeding a bit
