I was at Petco today buying some food for my fish/pets. And spotted this Derasa clam. It just caught my eye. I started looking it up. Decided to take a chance and bring it home. I acclimated it and cleaned it with a toothbrush. I couldn't tell what color it was at the store. Thought I would make a video so we can both see what color it is... Uuuuu.. it's like Blue outline with yellow lines..🙂

cleaning day. still fighting the vermetid snails. I have at least 30 bubble bee snails. but I still don't see progress. I just make sure nothing is bothering my corals. I run white light for 2 hours twice everyday. The rest of the time the tank is blue. I wonder how others deal with vermetid snails. I really don't want to pour anything into the tank. every 3 months I take out the rock work and scrap them off. they just keep coming back. but Corals are expanding and doing well.

I haven't done a water change since May 30th. Every 3 weeks I take the bottom apart and also clean the canister filter inspect parts and clean. It can take me about 4 hours. I only add one gallon of saltwater because I lose a little saltwater. Every Sunday I just clean all the filters.: Surface filters, filter socks, DC pump filter, skimmer cup. But when it's done I get pretty good results. Let's get it done..🙂

Finish doing a water change. Just wanted to share a video of the corals I have so far in this 125 gallon tank. Simple corals. Slow growers. 🙂
