I’m gonna use a ViparSpectra light on my 25-gallon cube tank (18x18 inches) and was wondering if anyone else has used it for a reef tank in the 25-30 gallon range. I know these lights can be quite powerful for smaller tanks, and I have a PAR meter. Just curious about the settings you all use to get the best results while not overdoing it.

Thank you really much for this info! It would help me to have a idea and adjust my light! Your Corals are looking really good in your tank! Great jobs
Thank you haha this tank has been torn down about 6 months. Some inhabitants and corals are still with me post move in my 40 cube
Currently using 2 over a 40, 1 on my 10g frag tank and used to have one on my old 13g. Whites at 10 or 1 if possible. Blues as high as 60-70. I have them like 12-13 inches off the waterline.
Great little fluval you can see nice growth edges on those SPS
They are looking amazing, thank you for the reply, i’ll take note
BRS has a video on why this fixture needs to be tuned down and mounted high. Very informative. https://www.youtube.com/live/UVLNCispGrM?si=dAr6-ANV6zrqfuvK

Hey I used a viparspectra on my 29 gallon standard. They are incredibly strong as far as straight par goes. Mine was 12 or 14 inches off the top cant recall exactly but it was pretty high. Most of the day rain whites at 10 blues at 30. That was more then enough. I swapped it to blues only at 30 for the last hours or two of the day just for visuals. Hope this helps I'll comment a picture kf that tank so you can see how it looked.
