So you have to ask yourself this question. Is this crab a viable part of my community ? Josh from World Wide Corals made a comment on a video that he doesn’t like larger crabs because they’re not a viable add to the cleanup crew. He said they’re too big to get up into the rockscape. They can’t get into all the little small nook and crannies. That’s the problem I have. I have three very large blue leg hermit crabs that are continually knocking over corals and climbing on top of my Acans, in fact, they have literally eaten an Acan to the point where he is in a mushroom cage so I can spot feed him and hopefully bring him back to life. I knocked them off, they climbed back on. I live on the water in Florida. He probably won’t be too upset if I give him a larger Aquarium to live the rest of his life in.

Yes so I moved all my corals into my “frag tank”

Thanks for the advice!

So I'm confused. Sounds like your crab took off with your zoas, plug and all? Then how did they get pulled off the plug? Also agree that's what a decorator crab does. But not all crabs do this. Most don't. Maybe time for another crab.
