I recently acquired a baby yellow tang for my tank, but my purple tang has been exhibiting aggressive behavior towards it. It chases and bites the baby tang, prompting me to create a DIY acclimation tank. Additionally, I purchased a mirror to attach to the tank’s glass. Considering these factors, how long should I keep the baby tang separated from the purple tang?

Eu manteria a baby yellow tang na caixa de aclimatação por pelo menos uma semana, às vezes chegando perto de duas se a purple estiver realmente focada nela. Alimentação pesada e o espelho ajudam bastante, e se a purple continuar avançando logo após soltar, eu tentaria também uma baguncinha no layout com um rockwork shuffle.
I would keep the baby yellow tang in the acclimation box for at least a week, sometimes closer to two if the purple tang is really keyed in on it. Heavy feeding and the mirror can help a lot, and if the purple tang is still charging right away after release I would try a little rockwork shuffle too.

Vou dar uma semana e, se ele continuar dando carga na yellow enquanto estiver na caixa, vou devolver pra pessoa de quem eu comprei.
I’m going to give them a week and if he’s still charging the yellow in the box I’m going to give it back to the person I got it from.

No mínimo eu faria uma semana. Misturar zebrasomas, especialmente qualquer coisa com purple tang, é extremamente difícil depois da primeira adição. Eu não sugeriria tentar com menos de um display de 150g, pessoalmente.
At a minimum I would do a week, mixing zebrasomas especially anything with a purple tang is extremely hard to do after the first addition. I wouldnt suggest trying it in anything less than a 150g display personally

Vou dar uma semana e ver o que acontece. Vou manter elas separadas por enquanto. Se não melhorar, eu devolvo a yellow tang. Tô preparando um aquário de 250 galões!
I’m going to give it a week and see what happens. I’ll keep them separated for now. If it doesn’t get better I’ll return the yellow tang. I’ve got a 250 gallon in the works!

Eu mantive minha baby Yellow tang numa caixa de aclimatação por uma semana. Eu queria engordar ela. Tenho um sailfin tang grande e um snall gem tang. Depois de uma semana, todos já eram melhores amigos.

Acabei de fazer a mesma coisa com uma baby roxa. Só dois dias e depois coloquei um espelhinho (mirror tile) do lado do aquário. Soltei o garotinho quando as luzes estavam apagadas. Na manhã seguinte, tudo certo.
I just did the same thing with a baby purple. Just two days and then put a mirror tile on the side of the tank. Ket the little guy go when the lights were out. Next morning all was good
